Your 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond are years of change, but with some tips and guidance, you can minimize their effect on your skin so you can look and feel your very best every day!
1. Preserve your bones
You might be scratching your head trying to figure out why bones have anything to do with your face skin. With age, we tend to lose bone volume and the most visible place is our face, as this happens, your skin starts drooping, the same way a ballon droops as it loses air. Your first line of defense: Use calcium supplements to keep bone volume for as long as possible. To fight the sagginess, nothing works best than advanced skincare ingredients specially designed to target the structural layer of the skin (called Dermal Epidermal Junction Layer - DEJ) to promote the NATURAL production of elastic skin fibers like Collagen, Elastin, and Fibrillin. In my opinion, an excellent ingredient to accomplish this is called ChroNOLine™, and that's why I insist on including it in my anti-age formulas.
2. Cheat your cells to believe they are younger
As we cross our 50s cells tend to lose condition, which makes cells underperform, however, the good news is that despite this our cells haven't lost their ability to work properly. Think about it as an athlete out of shape, if you try to run a marathon without the proper conditioning, most probably he/she will fail miserably; the same thing happens with your skin, if you apply antiaging or moisturizing formulas to un-conditioned cells you will get lousy results. This is exactly what was happening to my patients after chemo and what inspired me to find a stem cell technology able to recondition cells so the skin can make the most of every ingredient in my formulas. After decades of research, I identified a patented technology able to recondition skin cells called RxG-302® (only available in my products)
3. Energize your skin
Give your cells a jolt back to life! The reality is that with age cells start replicating slower and slower. In our younger years, cells take approximately 2 weeks to make the journey between the DEJ layer (where they are created) to the skin surface, which resulted in youthful, glowing skin. In contrast, in your later years, this cell journey might take twice as long making our superficial skin look lackluster and dull. The good news is that now we have ingredients like Alpha Hydroxy Acid and Progeline™ to get your skin back on schedule, so when are combined with texture enhancers like Exo-T™, they produce a smooth even-toned complexion.
4. Make your skin behave like a sponge
So, not only we lose firmness, conditioning and the ability to timely generate cells, but we also lose the ability to absorb and maintain moisture in the skin, making it feel tight and uncomfortable. The solution is to make your skin behave like a sponge, this requires a 3 pronged approach: 1. Maximize absorption by using Hyaluronic Acid, able to retain up to 1,000 times its molecular weight in water, 2. Provide rich moisturizers like Shea Butter, Aloe or advanced superfruit compounds like WildPlumHarvest™, 3. Seal moisture in by reinforcing the skin barrier function with ingredients like Exo-H™
5. Show up for the fight!
Free radicals are your skin's worst enemy and they don't rest! Especially after your 50s it's critical to boost your antioxidant fighting power, aside from an antioxidant-rich diet that includes foods like berries, dark chocolate, and spinach, make sure your skincare includes natural extracts from green tea and açai
